SCOSA is bringing the Women's Professional Soccer Camp to Warriors Path State Park July 6-10, 2009. The camp is for girls only, ages 5-17. The cost for a half day program (9am-12pm) is $190 and the full day program (9am-3pm) is $265. If the camp has at least 50 girls, we are guaranteed a visit from a WPS player! From the "Yet Another Tri-Cities Soccer Club" files:
The Vitesse Soccer Director, Michael Louter, has announced his intentions of fielding a club to compete, at all age levels, in select competition beginning in the fall of 2009. He acquired 2 former teams from ETSF this past spring and has used them as a starting point for his program.
For the area clubs that have merged (and those that haven't), there are signs of frustration because of the dilution of the player pool that another club brings. At some point in time, we will have to develop larger alliances or some sort of progressive system amongst clubs to keep the competitive level of our teams as strong as possible.
It should be an exciting fall season in the Tri-Cities!
